Booking and cancellation terms
Policy version 2026-10-18.5
1. Our service and contract
BookCSCSTest.co.uk provides independent booking assistance. Email info@bookcscstest.co.uk or use https://www.bookcscstest.co.uk/contact/. Customer support is by email; we call if the preferred appointment date is unavailable. We are independent and not affiliated with CITB, CSCS or Pearson VUE. Our assistance contract begins when payment is verified and we acknowledge the paid request. Assistance includes checking your request, arranging an agreed available test appointment, sending confirmation and helping with related booking changes or queries. A payment receipt is not a confirmed appointment. We do not guarantee a pass, an available slot or a CSCS card.
2. Price and preferences
The standard individual booking total is £48.00 GBP: £23.50 for one CITB HS&E test and £24.50 booking assistance. The optional £59.99 individual package adds £11.99 for one conditional retest. Choose your package before payment; the standard option is selected initially. Standard bookings exclude retests. Both packages include 30-day independent mock practice for the candidate; cards and separately sold revision materials are excluded. An optional £4.99 independent digital practice product is available to buy on its own, before or after a test booking. A test booking is not required. Standalone practice is a separate purchase; paid test bookings already include practice access, so booking customers do not need to buy it again. Its coverage, 30-day access and digital-content terms are shown before its separate payment. We will obtain agreement before any extra charge. The final confirmation checkbox records agreement to the terms and the accuracy/authority confirmations. Selecting the clearly labelled Continue to payment button is a separate express request for immediate work during the cancellation period. We record the request method, button wording and applicable consent wording, and include them in the acknowledgement email. Company group requests: one company billing/correspondence address and coordinator contact apply to the request. Each candidate initially supplies only full name and date of birth as shown on ID. The coordinator must be authorised and make the privacy notice available to candidates. We collect any further actual personal details required by CITB/Pearson VUE before arranging provider appointments; we do not submit a shared company address as a verified candidate home address. Preferences apply to the group and candidates may need separate available slots. For 3–25 candidates in one online paid company request, BookCSCSTest reduces its £24.50 assistance fee by 10%, giving a total of £45.55 per candidate (£23.50 provider test fee + £22.05 assistance), saving £2.45 each. Two-person requests cost £48 each. This is our offer, not a reduction of CITB’s test fee. 30-day mock practice is included for every candidate. Cards and retakes remain separate. Refunds are assessed per affected candidate against their agreed paid price and assistance charge, with applicable legal rights; we do not retrospectively claw back the discount from remaining candidates. If we cannot supply an acceptable appointment for a candidate, their paid per-candidate total is refunded. Any proportionate charge for requested assistance actually supplied is limited to that candidate’s agreed assistance price. The selected centre, date, time, language and support remain preferences until confirmed separately. Our location list contains checked Pearson Professional Centres. The imported test-specific observations currently cover Operatives; Specialist and Managers & Professionals requests can select these locations as preferences, with support for the chosen test checked during fulfilment before an appointment is booked. Listing a location does not confirm it offers every test or an available slot. We will obtain your agreement before booking an alternative. Do not travel without your appointment confirmation. If we cannot arrange an acceptable appointment, we refund the full amount paid for the affected booking.
2A. Optional individual retest package
The £59.99 individual booking package includes the first test and one additional test if you attend and fail that first attempt. It covers the standard CITB retest fee and our retest booking assistance, with no further charge for those items. It applies to the same candidate, test type and Specialist subject, where applicable, booked through BookCSCSTest. The retest must take place at least 72 hours after the actual first test start time, subject to available appointments and any longer provider restriction. This 72-hour interval is our package condition; CITB currently prohibits resitting within 48 hours. To request your included retest, contact our booking team with your original booking reference and failed score report. We verify eligibility, arrange the retest and confirm its appointment separately; do not make a second paid booking. One retest only: a third attempt is not included. Non-attendance, late arrival, unsuitable ID, misconduct and a cancelled or void first test do not qualify as a failed attempt; statutory rights and remedies for provider faults remain unaffected. 30-day independent mock practice is included. A CSCS card is not included. Any separately requested interpreter or other additional provider service is not included and must be quoted and agreed before charging. The package is not a pass guarantee. If you pass, the conditional retest is not triggered; there is no automatic cash payout. Cancellation, refunds and statutory remedies remain governed by the booking terms. No blanket non-refundable rule applies to the £11.99 package supplement. If we cannot provide an eligible included retest, we offer an agreed alternative or refund the £11.99 supplement without limiting any greater remedy due by law. The package cannot be added retrospectively after the first test. For the £59.99 package, cancellation and statutory remedies apply to the whole amount paid. Before work starts and before any appointment is bought, the full package price is refundable on a valid cancellation. Any lawful initial-assistance deduction is assessed against the £24.50 assistance component, not automatically against the whole package. We do not treat the £11.99 supplement as automatically earned when payment is taken or when the first test is passed. Where cancellation rights apply, we account for any unused retest element and any lawful evidenced costs without double recovery. If an included retest is arranged, we do not deduct its provider fee again from a refund of the first test fee. Statutory rights for failure to supply or faulty service are unaffected.
3. Cancellation and refunds
These terms apply to new requests that accept version 2026-10-18.5. Earlier requests retain the version accepted when they were submitted; a later policy does not reduce those rights. You may cancel by a clear statement to info@bookcscstest.co.uk, our contact form or the correspondence address below. Give your name and request reference if available. You do not have to use our optional cancellation form. We stop further avoidable work when we receive your cancellation; we do not continue working to increase a deduction.
Your 14-day cancellation right
For our booking assistance service, the statutory cancellation period ends 14 days after the day the contract is made. We ask separately for your express request to begin assistance during this period. Asking us to start does not itself remove your cancellation rights, and we do not rely on this checkout to extinguish that right upon full performance. If no assistance work has begun and no appointment has been purchased, we refund the full amount paid for the affected booking. If assistance has begun at your express request, a lawful deduction may reflect work actually supplied before we receive your cancellation, even if an appointment has not yet been booked. That amount must be proportionate to the service supplied compared with the whole agreed assistance service and its £24.50 price; if the agreed price is excessive, the statutory market-value test applies. The £24.50 is a maximum service charge, not an automatic cancellation charge. Taking payment or sending an automatic acknowledgement alone does not earn the whole fee. Assistance may include checking candidate details and requirements, searching availability, discussing and securing an agreed appointment, issuing confirmation, and providing the included booking support. We retain records of the work and explain any deduction, taking account of assistance or support that has not been supplied. Where required cancellation/cost information or a valid express early-start request was not provided, we do not charge for services supplied during the cancellation period.
The provider test fee and appointment changes
The £23.50 provider test fee is separate from our assistance charge. If no appointment was purchased, that £23.50 is refundable. Once an appointment has been booked, we seek any provider refund available, use the online cancellation route where reasonably available to avoid unnecessary provider charges, and pass on sums due to you. Any provider fee retained must be lawful, evidenced, genuinely non-recoverable and not counted again as an assistance deduction. We do not assume every provider charge can automatically be passed to you during a statutory cancellation. CITB's standard online route permits test-fee refunds and rescheduling at least 72 hours before the appointment. Its telephone route can carry provider charges. Within 72 hours, cancellation, non-attendance, late arrival or unsuitable ID can result in loss of the provider test fee. Contact us well before the deadline so the request can be processed; sending a message does not itself confirm a change. We acknowledge and deal with cancellation requests promptly. We do not charge you for loss caused by our failure to process a timely request correctly. A failed test does not itself entitle you to a refund; a further test is a separate purchase unless your accepted package includes an eligible retest.
Cancellation after the cooling-off period
After the statutory period, a change-of-mind cancellation is assessed under these terms and applicable law. We may retain a fair, evidenced amount for assistance supplied and unavoidable net loss caused by the cancellation, subject to reasonable steps to reduce that loss. We deduct no more than the agreed price of the relevant component, avoid double recovery, and refund unused or recovered sums due to you. There is no blanket rule that the whole booking price, assistance fee or package supplement is non-refundable. We explain the calculation on request.
When we cannot supply, and how refunds are made
If we cannot arrange an acceptable appointment, we refund the full amount paid for the affected booking. Faulty or misdescribed services, our mistakes and other statutory remedies remain protected. We do not use provider cancellation rules to remove your rights against us. Where a provider cancels, we discuss an alternative or the refund due under your contract and applicable rights; you do not have to accept an unwanted alternative. Refunds are returned to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise without cost. We charge no separate refund-processing or card-processing deduction from a statutory refund. Any payment-provider cost we incur does not by itself reduce your legal entitlement. We issue refunds without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline, normally no later than 14 days after receiving a valid statutory cancellation notice. A bank or card issuer may then take additional time to show the credit.
4. Candidate information and test day
The NI field is optional when submitting this request. We may need to follow up for NI details or the correct provider process before fulfilment. We do not invent missing candidate information. Supply accurate candidate information matching acceptable ID, using the candidate's own personal email. If booking for someone else, have authority to provide their details and give them our privacy notice and confirmation. Do not submit another person's health information through the support field. Follow the ID, arrival and centre instructions supplied with your confirmed appointment. Keep the confirmation and score report. Arriving late, failing or missing a test may require another paid test, subject to applicable rights.
5. Complaints and cancellation form
Email info@bookcscstest.co.uk with your reference, what happened and the resolution requested. We investigate and respond by email. These terms do not limit rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Optional cancellation form: To BookCSCSTest.co.uk at info@bookcscstest.co.uk or the business address below. Privacy notice
Policy version 2026-10-18.5
About this notice
BookCSCSTest.co.uk uses booking information to provide its independent assistance service. Controller and business address details are provided at the end of this notice. Contact info@bookcscstest.co.uk about privacy or data rights. This notice covers the booking subdomain and associated booking correspondence; the IONOS main website's other forms, cookies and tracking require their own assessment.
Information, purposes and lawful bases
For company requests we collect the coordinator’s company/contact details and the listed candidates’ full names and dates of birth, with the company address used once for billing/correspondence. We obtain further actual candidate personal details required by the provider separately before arranging appointments. We use this information to provide the requested group service; when details are supplied by a coordinator our legitimate interest is arranging authorised bookings, balanced against candidates’ rights. We collect candidate names, date of birth, home and contact details, supplied NI/CITB references, test and appointment preferences, language, optional support requests, payment references, acknowledgements and correspondence. We also handle confirmed appointment details, provider references, issued confirmations, changes, refunds and complaints. Required fields are needed to arrange the requested service. Card numbers and security codes are entered with Stripe and are not received or emailed by our form. We use ordinary booking information to take steps requested before a contract and perform the assistance contract. Where someone else supplies candidate details, our legitimate interest is arranging the authorised candidate booking; candidates can object. Accounting obligations rely on legal obligations. Necessary security, fraud prevention and claim handling rely on legitimate interests balanced against individual rights. We do not sell booking data or use this form to subscribe you to marketing. Optional support details that reveal health or disability are processed only with the candidate's separate explicit consent, under Article 9(2)(a), with consent also used as the Article 6 basis for this optional information. Do not provide diagnoses or medical documents. The support-consent control is for the candidate themselves; someone booking on their behalf should leave this optional section empty and contact us to arrange the candidate's direct consent. You can withdraw by emailing us, without affecting earlier lawful use. Withdrawal may prevent us arranging the requested adjustment, but ordinary booking assistance does not depend on consenting to optional support processing. Support is not guaranteed until agreed.
Contact enquiries
The contact form embedded on our main website is hosted on the booking subdomain. It collects your name, email, enquiry type, optional booking reference and message to answer your enquiry, take requested pre-contract steps or handle existing booking correspondence. Messages are sent through Resend to info@bookcscstest.co.uk and forwarded to our business inbox, with your email used as the reply address. We do not subscribe enquirers to marketing or send an automatic customer email. Do not include identity documents, NI numbers, medical information, card details or private practice codes. Enquiry text is not stored in the booking database by this form. Salted hashes of email/network address are used in short-lived rate-limit counters, removed on a subsequent submission after expiry, to prevent abuse. Email copies follow the correspondence-retention review below; unnecessary details are removed when no longer needed, while necessary complaint or legal evidence may be retained. Your rights and contact details are set out below.
Storage and recipients
If you buy independent digital practice, we collect your email and confirmation entry and chosen test/subject. A test booking is not required, and the standalone form does not request your name, NI number, date of birth or home address. We retain the purchase reference, booking link if one exists, selected test/subject, payment and access status, private access-token hash, encrypted delivery email/access information, accepted digital terms and immediate-supply consent, and supply/expiry timestamps. This supports the digital contract, access security and statutory/financial records. A private access link is sent to the purchaser by transactional email; a generic business alert contains no candidate details or private link. Protect the link as it permits access. Practice answers, question rotation, missed-question lists, recent scores and the latest attempt are stored encrypted with the private access record so the learner can continue on another browser or device. Access credentials are required to read or update progress. Concurrent changes from different tabs or devices are checked to prevent an older copy overwriting newer progress. Complimentary access codes are stored as hashes and activate one route; the same code can reopen the access until expiry. No name, email, birth date or payment details are requested for complimentary code use. Owners can revoke complimentary access or issue a replacement return code without extending its expiry. Practice access ends 30 days after verified payment; this is separate from financial-record retention and review of necessary consent/complaint evidence. Before submission, form entries remain in the current tab. Submitting checkout stores an encrypted request, including if payment is not completed. After payment verification, our business Gmail inbox receives a generic new-request alert with a link to the protected owner workspace. The alert contains no candidate details, booking reference or receipt token. All submitted candidate fields remain accessible to the signed-in operator in the protected booking database so we can arrange the test. Earlier full-detail notification emails and ordinary customer correspondence may still be held in the mailbox; this change does not delete existing records. The separate customer acknowledgement omits NI number, birth date, home address and support notes. A later appointment confirmation contains the actual test details and necessary provider references. Providers used include OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare hosting/database infrastructure, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional messages, IONOS for domain email/forwarding and Google Gmail for generic business alerts and existing email correspondence. Messages to info@bookcscstest.co.uk are forwarded to that inbox; the automatic reply is not an appointment or change confirmation. Necessary candidate details are provided to CITB/Pearson VUE for fulfilment. Payment and testing providers may also act as independent controllers. We may disclose necessary records to advisers or authorities where legally required or to establish or defend claims. Information may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Resend publishes contractual transfer safeguards including UK provisions; Google, OpenAI and Cloudflare publish their own international-transfer arrangements. Their published arrangements do not mean all information is stored in the UK. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data and how to obtain a copy. Provider account terms and transfer arrangements must be kept under review.
Retention
We review records for continuing need rather than keeping all candidate details indefinitely. A monthly review of the connected business Gmail mailbox is scheduled to identify completed/cancelled bookings more than 90 days old and fictional test emails more than 30 days old. This review identifies candidates for removal; it does not automatically delete them. Database records, unpaid requests and IONOS/provider copies need a separate review. These thresholds are review points, not promises that every copy is deleted on a fixed day. Unnecessary NI numbers, dates of birth, support notes and other full candidate details should be removed when no longer needed for fulfilment, support or a specific open matter. Necessary evidence for a complaint, dispute or legal obligation is kept for that purpose with a reason and review date. Minimum financial/tax records are kept for the applicable statutory period, ordinarily at least five years after the 31 January submission deadline for the relevant self-assessment tax year; longer if required by an enquiry or other obligation. Full candidate information is not automatically a financial record. You can contact us for review or erasure of information held about you.
Security and rights
Database payloads are encrypted and owner API access is restricted. Emailed copies are also held under the mailbox provider's security arrangements. We do not make solely automated decisions about the appointment you attend; Stripe may perform payment/fraud checks. Depending on the circumstances you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to legitimate-interest processing. You may withdraw consent for optional support information. Exceptions may apply, including where records must be retained by law. Contact info@bookcscstest.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); you need not complain to us first. Our custom booking code adds no marketing or analytics trackers and does not save candidate details in browser local storage. Hosting and Stripe may use technologies necessary for their functions. The main website has separate settings.
